Wya Point Resort is not yet a very well known wedding location. However, it is one of the more beautiful spots along the Tofino/Ucluelet peninsula. Located in an old growth forest and on First Nation's traditional territory, you feel truly remote in this pristine area. The cabins are stunning, decorated with totems and First Nation's art and look out to a calm bay that made me feel like we were in the tropics. Okay, enough about the beautiful resort! Time to talk about Brenna and Mark.

These two had been together for over 10 years and made the decision together to make it official. They grew up on the island and wanted to have their wedding close to home, but somewhere different. Both Brenna and Mark love an adventure. They surf, mountain bike, hike and every other outdoor activity you could think of. So when they walked through Wya Point, they knew this was it. It's minutes away to Pacific Rim National Park and provided the privacy they were looking for for their big day.

The day was warm (as a west coaster, I would say HOT) with a gentle coastal wind, going sleeveless was not an issue. Their yellow labrador, Harry, joined in on all the festivities. And they topped the beautiful day with a canoe full of beverages and the most delicious tacos I have ever had!
